About Connected Minds

Lived experience, practical knowledge and compassionate support

Connected Minds provides independent SEND advocacy and family support with understanding, honesty and respect.

My experience

I have been on this path for 16 years as a mother, working collaboratively with professionals and the local authority to help ensure my child’s needs are understood and met.

I bring 10 years of volunteering experience supporting parents through a local support group, 5 years delivering the Cygnet course for parents of children diagnosed with autism, and 3 years working in a peer-support service for an autism charity.

I have supported families with school provision, EHCP processes, DLA claims, communication with professionals and finding approaches that better meet their child’s individual needs.

DBS checked. Connected Minds is an independent advocacy service and is not part of a school, local authority, NHS service or legal practice.
